Phi Kappa Phi collecting eyeglasses through April 30, 2019

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, UW-Green Bay chapter, is once again collecting eyeglasses for its community service project. The Medical College of Wisconsin will be joining UW-Green Bay in collecting used prescription glasses, new or lightly used sunglasses, and reading glasses to donate to Medical Missions Outreach. The motive of Medical Missions Outreach is to assist underdeveloped communities, providing care where it is most needed. MMO sends teams of medical professionals, students, and volunteers around the world to partner with local missionaries, and set up free medical and vision clinics. In fact, UWGB student Michelle Stauff has had the opportunity to be part of an MMO vision team! The vision clinics provide free vision screening, matches the prescription in your recycled glasses, and gives them to someone in need. Phi Kappa Phi will be collecting through April 30, 2019.
