Eric Dean Spruth will present the lecture, “The Ultimate Escape Artist,” at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15 in the Christie Theatre, University Union, UWGB. Spruth is an art therapist who works with inmates in the Cook County Jail in Chicago. He also works on a mural project with juveniles in the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center in Chicago. Prof. Derek S. Jeffreys (Humanistic Studies and Religion) invited Spruth as part of his course on punishment sponsored by the National Endowment of the Humanities. The lecture is free and open to the public.
