On Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at 7:30 p.m., the Weidner Center Philharmonic pairs a big-screen showing of “Casablanca” with live performance of the lush, Oscar-nominated score. The Retiree Association has arranged for a significant ticket discount for retirees and their guests and with it, a free, pre-concert reception at 6:30 p.m., highlighted by a retiree meet-and-greet with Provost Michael Alexander, the University’s new leader of academic affairs and an experienced music professional and symphonic conductor in his own right. Tickets are $45 for the Front Orchestra and $30 for the Orchestra Circle, fees included. Unfortunately, the discount cannot be applied to previously purchased tickets, only to additional tickets if you choose. To order, visit the Weidner Center’s “Casablanca” event page and click Promo Code Access. Enter the retiree code GOUWGB.
