The first Global Studies Roundtable discussion of the spring semester will take place Friday, Feb. 2, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in Room 103 of the University Union. Discussion on international events (diplomacy in the age of populism and nationalism) will be lead by Jean-Rene Gehan, former French Ambassador to Kuwait and Laos and former Consul General of France in Chicago. Take part in the discussions of the topical events processes around your world. Gehan splits his time between Wisconsin and France and is an adjunct teacher at UW-Madison. He has vast diplomatic experience in the Middle East, Europe and the U.S.
