Project Runway designer was once a UW-Green Bay art camper

Fun story for a late Friday afternoon: So, this UW-Green Bay staff member is watching cable TV one night, and he or she (we’ll not name this particular Lifetime Network viewer and reality-show fan to protect his identity) notices the one competitor identified as a former Wisconsin resident, and she has a vaguely familiar face. Turns out, the reality-show contestant is Anna Lynett, 23, from Whitefish Bay, Wis., who is one of the young fashion designers competing on this season’s edition of the popular “Project Runway” show hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum. Let the record show that Lynett, still alive for fame and fortune and the show’s top prize of a boost on a high-fashion career, spent part of Summer 2001 on the UW-Green Bay campus. She took illustration courses (kind of fits, for a fashion designer) at Summer Art Studio. Lynett was in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel a few weeks ago – see story.
