Celebration for the life of Prof. Michael Morgan

UW-Green Bay announced previously the passing of Emeritus Faculty Michael Morgan, who taught in UW-Green Bay’s Natural and Applied Sciences unit for decades before his retirement. He specialized in plant ecology and bioclimatology. Morgan helped create the biology major when the University was new (1968), and taught thousands of students in his 37 years with the University. An obituary will be posted in the Green Bay Press-Gazette on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

His life and legacy will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. with visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Green Bay, WI 54302. His wife, Gloria, asked that it be a casual affair with “lots of talk, laughing, and sharing of stories.”

A memorial church service will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St, Green Bay, Wis. on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022 at 11 a.m.

Memorials can be made to the Morgan/Macaluso Family Endowed Scholarship in Natural Sciences, established in 2014 in honor of the couple’s parents. Here is the full obituary.
