This is the Year of the Niagara Escarpment. The Wisconsin Legislature has given it official proclamation. So it’s appropriate that an effort to raise awareness of the escarpment will begin with a free program Jan. 14 at UW-Green Bay, which sits astride the “Ledge.” The escarpment extends in an arc from central Wisconsin to Michigan, Ontario and New York. The program is being sponsored by the Menasha-based Niagara Escarpment Resource Network and will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in MAC Hall 111. Read the article from Green Bay Press-Gazette about the meeting.
