SBDC’s Kauth gets ink in ‘Press-Gazette’ column

Our own Ryan Kauth, director of the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at UW-Green Bay, was featured in Thursday’s (Dec. 17) SCORE small business column in the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Since 2008, Kauth has been involved in the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Contest (which we’ve mentioned here before), and is one of the judges and organizers for the annual event. “What we want the business owners to do is give a very precise statement of what their business does,” Kauth said, as quoted in the column. “A good statement will tell me the name of the business, and how it sets itself apart. Uniqueness is helpful. For entrants focused on growth, I want to know why there is an opportunity for growth.” You can read more about the contest — its Dec. 31 deadline is approaching quickly — and hear more from Kauth.
