UWGB Fall Commencement’s Class: “Innovate and Think Creatively” | 1330 & 101.5 WHBL
UW-Green Bay’s fall class – 485 strong – will be urged to “innovate and think creatively” during commencement ceremonies on Saturday. Students from the Sheboygan, Manitowoc and Marinette campuses will gather along with their Green Bay counterparts in the Weidner Center for the 108th Ceremony of the school. Degrees will be awarded during two sessions, covering the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Health, Education & Social Welfare as well as all Associate Degrees from the four campuses at 9:30 a.m.. 2 p.m. ceremonies will confer degrees for graduates of the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business and the College of Science, Engineering and Technology.
UW-Green Bay Chancellor Michael Alexander called tomorrow’s commencement an indication that the school is meeting the needs of the regional workforce, and added that “It is my hope that our graduates will continue to fearlessly face challenges and solve problems to ensure the vibrancy of Northeast Wisconsin.” And alluding to the University’s monicker “Phoenix”, Alexander added that “As we rise as a university, we rise together as a community and region.”
