Governor Evers to Visit Green Bay to Discuss the State Budget | Seehafer News

Governor Tony Evers has scheduled a visit to Green Bay to discuss the state budget.

The listening session will be held in the University of Wisconsin Green Bay’s STEM Innovation Center on December 20th and will run from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Those who wish to attend are required to register on Eventbrite.com.

This session will specifically be related to the 2023-2025 budget, which will have a $6.6 billion surplus as the main talking point.

With Evers being a Democrat and the legislature controlled by Republicans, both sides have stated that they are willing to work with each other, but only time will tell if that all comes to fruition.

There are additional listening sessions scheduled for around the state, and a statewide virtual session is slated for this Wednesday (December 14th) at 6:00 p.m.
