Phoenix women’s basketball No. 1 in the nation? That’s what it says

In the first ESPN/USA Today coaches poll of the new season, the Phoenix women fell just one point shy of tying TCU (70 points) for the No. 25 spot in the Division I rankings. The Green Bay women are a few spots lower than that in the AP sportswriters’ poll. Either way, it’s a sign of continuing respect for the program.
