P-G profiles “Dancing Pros Live” host Thicke ahead of Weidner show

“Dancing Pros Live!” will take the Weidner Center stage on Thursday (Nov. 13), and the Green Bay Press-Gazette previewed the big competition with a Sunday (Nov. 8) profile of its host, Alan Thicke. Perhaps best known as Jason Seaver from TV’s “Growing Pains,” Thicke told reporter Kendra Meinert he’s no stranger to Green Bay. “I think I’m a closet cheesehead,” he said. “We have a serious history in Green Bay, mostly through the Packers. In fact, I am signed up for season tickets, and I think I am eligible to get my season tickets when I’m about 114 years old.” Thicke will emcee Thursday’s competition, which features professionals including Edyta Sliwinska and Chelsie Hightower from “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance” competing live as the audience votes for its favorite. Read the full profile of Thicke, and link to more info about “Dancing Pros Live” (tickets still available).
