$5.5 million gift draws attention

Area media and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel took notice of the $5.5 million gift to UW-Green Bay from the late Dr. David Cofrin. It’s the largest private academic gift in school history and will help create a fully endowed chair and a permanent endowment for academic enhancements. To honor this generous gift and other contributions from the Cofrin family, the business program will be called the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business, named in honor of David Cofrin’s father, who founded the Fort Howard Paper Co.
