More coverage for Library of the Year

There was more great media coverage Monday (Sept. 10) for the Cofrin Library’s Library of the Year honor. WBAY, Channel 2 came to campus, interviewing library director Paula Ganyard and a couple of students about what makes the library great. Ganyard talked about such improvements as added computers, shorter bookshelves and new furniture and artwork, all of which have improved the space considerably. “It’s one thing to have students walk in — that’s a huge reward to see people using it — but to have people in the field who know what outstanding is, it’s really nice to be recognized,” Ganyard told reporter Kristyn Allen. The library will accept its statewide honor late next month at the Wisconsin Library Association conference in La Crosse. TV-2 story.
