In the news: Campus Vets for Vets president is Channel 5 ‘Hometown Hero’

The president of UW-Green Bay’s Vets 4 Vets student organization recently was honored as a WFRV, Channel 5 “Hometown Hero” for his efforts to help fellow veterans on campus and in the community. In a report that aired last week, Ken Corry speaks with reporter Terry Kovarik about his experiences being deployed and attempting to re-acclimate to civilian life once his tours of duty had ended. Corry grappled with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), he said, and sought help through the Department of Veterans Affairs. He learned he wasn’t alone, and now uses his experience to help others — including fellow vets here on campus. Full story.
