Board of Regents to consider flexibilities proposal at Thursday meeting

The UW System Board of Regents on Thursday will consider recommended organizational changes designed to make the System more nimble and provide its chancellors with enhanced control and new leadership roles. The plan, developed by a committee that includes UW-Green Bay Chancellor Thomas Harden, also would allow officials to expedite the process of approving new degree programs. The recommendations build on the new operational flexibilities granted in the state’s 2011-13 biennial budget.
