In the news: Kraft offers take on latest Marquette poll

Prof. Emeritus Michael Kraft on Tuesday (July 23) offered context for a WLUK, Fox 11 story on declining popularity rates for both President Barack Obama and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. The figures are part of the latest Marquette University Law School Poll, which shows a 48 percent approval rating for Walker — down from 51 percent two months ago — and a 47 percent approval rating for Obama, down from 50 percent in May. Still, Kraft told reporter Beth Jones that future polls will be more telling, especially for Walker as his bid for re-election gets closer. “The Democrats have no candidate yet, there are some names rumored,” Kraft said. “So without a campaign, these are opinions sort of floating around in the middle of summer before anything is really happening.” Full story.
