Wisconsin’s coastal communities receive over $1.4 million in grants

“Gov. Tony Evers announced more than $1.4 million in grants to spur economic growth, protect Wisconsin’s shorelines and build resilience to climate change in the state’s Great Lakes coastal communities. The grants will go to 41 projects, which total over $3.4 million when matching funds from municipalities and other agencies are taken into account. They span across the state’s coastal counties and will be administered by the Department of Administration’s Wisconsin Coastal Management Program, which began in 1978 to preserve and improve access to the natural and historic resources provided by the state’s Great Lakes coasts.”

Grants will fund many UW-Green Bay projects. See the full list of projects.
