Tony Bennett earns No. 14 spot on ESPN.com list

Former UW-Green Bay Phoenix star and 1992 Humanistic Studies graduate Tony Bennett gets some kudos at the ESPN website as part of the network’s profile of today’s 50 best men’s college basketball coaches. The Virginia Cavaliers head coach, a former AP coach of the year at Washington State, was rated No. 14 (two spots ahead of North Carolina rival Roy Williams). Just another “listicle,” of course, but the short piece on Bennett is well-written and mentions the defense-first philosophy pioneered by Dick Bennett here in Green Bay. Read story.
