In the news: UW System will see 5.5 percent tuition increase

As we told you yesterday, the Board of Regents has approved a 5.5 percent tuition increase for the 2012-13 academic year. Most local news media outlets carried the story, including the Green Bay Press-Gazette, which talked to Provost Julia Wallace about the change. Wallace reflected on the difficulty of the decision, acknowledging that it’s tough for students but necessary in the face of reductions in state aid.
