Dr. Julia Shariff ’15, a UW-Green Bay alumna, was among the 15 students who received their diplomas from the Medical College of Wisconsin Green Bay, Friday, June 1, 2018. Shariff is a Green Bay native, and wanted to stay local for medical school. “I’m actually from Green Bay. Went to UW-Green Bay, got to stay here for medical school, so definitely a huge connection here and most of my family is in the state,” she said. Her graduation, and decision to stay in the area, is good news for Wisconsin, a state with a severe shortage of physicians and psychiatrists. Congratulations, Dr. Shariff!
