Many UW-Green Bay alumni move to smaller metro areas, says Wall Street Journal
According to the Wall Street Journal (May 15, 2018) UW-Green Bay is one of 62 institutions (out of 445 in the database) that see more than half of their alumni move to smaller metropolitan areas.
“A college education is often a ticket to the best career opportunities,” the Journal reported. “For most graduates, that means moving to the nation’s biggest metropolitan areas, boosting the intellectual capital that helps those cities thrive… “Only 62 institutions in our database see more than half of their alumni move to smaller metropolitan and rural areas. Many of these colleges and universities are part of state systems, such as:
-Indiana Univ., Purdue Univ. Fort Wayne
-Univ. of Wisconsin-Green Bay
-Univ. of North Carolina at Greensboro
-California State Univ., Bakersfield.”
