The Green Bay Press-Gazette is previewing a County Board vote on a $1 million upgrade to the Resch Center video board this week by saying it could help determine if the Phoenix men’s basketball team continues to play at the Resch. The P-G reports that the contract between UWGB and PMI management allows the Phoenix to opt out if the scoreboard is not upgraded. University spokesman Chris Sampson said the escape clause kicked in on April 15, but the University has not decided if it plans to exercise it. “Phoenix men’s basketball wants to stay at the Resch Center. It’s a great venue,” he said. “It would be premature to speculate as to what the next step is (if the Board declines action).” Read more.
