Education grad Chris Harris gets TV coverage for elementary STEM work

Nice work by Education alumnus Chris Harris (bachelor’s 2009 and master’s 2013) was recognized in a feature story on NBC 26 about his teaching methods at Howard Elementary School. Harris’s students are taking their S.T.E.M knowledge to whole new heights with rockets, catapults, reverse engineering, and more. “With a hands-on approach, teacher Chris Harris has his student engaged, thinking about how their world functions through S.T.E.M.” Harris told the interviewer, “It’s not just about here’s your answer, here’s how we get to the answer. They get to solve their own problems.” (Side note: Harris speaks highly of his UW-Green Bay experience, if anyone asks.)
