Writer Lee Marie Reinsch notes that the philosophy behind EMBI is that business and environment need not be at odds (or, as she puts it, “as compatible as Rush Limbaugh and Rachel Maddow”). Rather, EMBI’s goal is to give business majors an understanding of environmental systems, and those students focused on environmental studies an appreciation for business needs.
