Review: Cabaret, University earn high praise for Weidner mainstage show
It’s a perfect four-star review for UW-Green Bay Theatre and Music, which made their triumphant return to the Weidner Center mainstage with the Friday (April 20) and Saturday (April 21) production of Cabaret. The Green Bay Press-Gazette praised the strength of UW-Green Bay’s performance program, noting the production — Theatre’s first Weidner mainstage show in more than a decade — “speaks volumes” about the University’s ability to execute such a large-scale show. Students Molly LeCaptain, Matthew Harris, Emily Terrell Paulsen and Ross David Christian, along with returning alumnus Eric Lindahl, were among the cast members receiving high praise in the review. Congratulations to everyone involved in an exceptional show! Read the review.
A box office winner, too
Nearly all of the seats available (main floor) were in use over the weekend for Cabaret. The final sales report showed more than 950 tickets for Friday and nearly that many for Saturday, meaning roughly 1,900 theatre-goers enjoyed the two Weidner Center performances.
