New chancellor announcement is big news in the region

A University of Wisconsin-Green Bay provost will take the helm as the University’s seventh chancellor. University officials announced Thursday that Michael Alexander, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at UW-Green Bay, has been hired to serve as chancellor beginning May 1. Alexander will replace replace Gary Miller, who left last year to become president of the University of Akron. Alexander will oversee UWGB campuses in Green Bay, Manitowoc, Marinette and Sheboygan.
