GOP legislator questions rush on UW-Madison split

Interesting. State Sen. Luther Olson (R-Berlin) has written a commentary piece published in central Wisconsin newspapers in which he questions Gov. Walker’s plan to spin off UW-Madison with this year’s biennial budget. The proposal is bold and arguably necessary, Olson writes, but shouldn’t such flexibilities be extended to other UW System schools, as well? Other questions need to be addressed, and Olson suggests the plan should be taken up in separate legislation. Read more.
