Phoenix NCAA tourney run ends at hands of Baylor, Griner

The UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team, led by senior stars Kayla Tetschlag (27 points, 10 rebounds) and Celeste Hoewisch (20 points, 6 assists), played tough til the end but ultimately fell short in an 86-76 loss to Baylor in NCAA Tournament third-round action Sunday night in Dallas. Green Bay finished its best season ever at 34-2. The Bears, ranked No. 3 in the nation, got a career-high 40 points from 6-8 national player-of-the-year candidate Brittney Griner, who also had 10 rebounds and six blocks.
