The UW-Green Bay men’s basketball program, coaches and players say they’re delighted to be part of the 32-team National Invitation Tournament with a shot at playing their way toward New York City and Madison Square Garden. It’s a chance to keep showing off the brand of basketball that won plenty of fans nationally — at least among knowledgeable observers — and had college basketball’s top analysts saying the Phoenix had done more than enough to earn an NCAA at-large bid. Doug Gottlieb and Clark Kellogg of CBS argued Green Bay’s case persuasively during last Sunday’s selection show. In case you missed it, watch the video clip.
