UW-Green Bay partners with Packers Hall of Fame for NFL Draft history classes | Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the Packers Hall of Fame are partnering to offer virtual classes on the history of the Packers and the NFL Draft ahead of Green Bay’s hosting of the draft in late April.

The three classes will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 2, 9 and 16 on Zoom. If those dates don’t work for those interested, participants can listen to the recorded sessions whenever works for them.

Brent Hensel, Packers Hall of Fame curator, will teach the classes. Registration costs $49 and is available online at bit.ly/UWGB-Packers-Class.

The first session will explore the draft process’s beginnings and the Packers’ first draft pick. The second will discuss the NFL versus the AFL, and how Vince Lombardi relied on the draft to lead the league’s integration process. The third and final session will look at how the Packers have used the draft in recent history.
