Phoenix women reach 30-1, NCAA tourney with Horizon title over Detroit

In front of a loud and electric crowd of nearly 3,500 and a national television audience on ESPNU, the No. 10-ranked UW-Green Bay women pulled away to a 66-53 win over Detroit in the Horizon League tournament championship game Sunday afternoon. Senior All-America candidate Julie Wojta had 29 points and 12 rebounds, and freshman Megan Lukan scored 20 points. Green Bay avenged its only regular-season loss and made its case for a higher seed when the tournament pairings are released today. See Press-Gazette coverage.
