A University of Wisconsin-Green Bay provost is among four finalists in the search for the school’s new chancellor, the UW system announced this week. Vying for the job are Michael Alexander, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at UW-Green Bay; Mark Biermann, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Indiana’s Valparaiso University; Teresa Flannery, a policy fellow for the Center for University Excellence at American University in Washington, D.C.; and Lori Vermeulen, former provost and vice president for academic affairs at Stockton University in New Jersey. The person hired would be the university’s seventh chancellor and replace Gary Miller, who left last year to take a position as president of the University of Akron. Miller was credited with helping the campus navigate funding challenges and diversifying the student body, faculty and staff. Source: UW-Green Bay chancellor finalists include UW-Green Bay provost | greenbaypressgazette.com
