Dean Dornbush talks to WPR about graduate tuition increases and our growing program array

In the news last week, University of Wisconsin System regents approved of raising graduate tuition at nine schools and out-of-state undergraduate tuition at six schools. “Graduate programing is our faster growing area on campus, with annual enrollment increases of around 20% over the last several years,” said Matthew Dornbush, UW-Green Bay’s director of graduate studies and associate vice chancellor. “Clearly, it is always a difficult decision to increase tuition at any level, we recognize the implications of our pricing on our students, but tuition is the main source of funding for our institution and we have to invest in ourselves to maintain quality and to expand the opportunities available for the citizens of NE Wisconsin.” See the story.
