UW-Green Bay Celebrates Black History Month

UW-Green Bay students can receive a free hair service at the on-campus Starz Barber & Beauty Feb. 7-28.
On Thursday, Feb. 3 Judas & the Black Messiah will be showing in the Christie Theatre followed by a discussion on the movie’s themes and messages.
Wisconsin Poet Laureate Dasha Kelly Hamilton will explore the story of race and class in America through the cake journey. Makin’ Cake with Dasha Kelly Hamilton will open with a writing workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. and performance and reception at 6 p.m. in the Phoenix Rooms.
Black Student Union will host the annual Soul Food Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Phoenix Rooms. Assistant Prof. Preston Cherry will be the keynote speaker.
