Coaches with Phoenix ties get some ink

In recent days there have been a couple of stories about coaches with UW-Green Bay history who are experiencing success in the coaching ranks.

In Thursday’s Green Bay Press-Gazette there’s an AP story about the University of Virginia’s turnaround under first-year coach (and Phoenix legend) Tony Bennett. The Cavaliers are the surprise of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Here’s a link to the story.

On Tuesday, Press-Gazette columnist Rob Demovsky wrote about former UW-Green Bay assistant Bob Semling who is now the head coach of UW-Stevens Point, and has the Pointers ranked atop the Division III poll. Here’s a link to that column.
