Assistant Prof. Chandna comments on local Sears closing

Last week, Sears Holdings Corporation announced it would close more than 100 of its Sears and Kmart stores across the country including Sears in Green Bay Plaza (Mason St. and Military Ave.). That store is closing in early April, with its auto center shutting down late next month. UW-Green Bay’s Assistant Prof. Vallari Chandna (Cofrin School of Business), commented: “Business was always big box. Business was always physical. Some would say, ‘I should try to hold on to those ideas,’ but if it’s not working, go digital. And I think that’s what Sears is going to try to do,” she said on the report by WBAY-TV.
