The No. 18 UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team hosts Wright State at 7 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 7) at the Kress Events Center. The Phoenix is 13-0 and one of five unbeaten teams in the country. Detroit is the foe at 2 p.m. Saturday, also at the Kress. The Phoenix received national attention earlier this week when ESPN.com analyst Graham Hays ranked UW-Green Bay as the top mid-major and wrote about the “Green Bay Way.” CBS is also taking notice. During Saturday’s (Jan. 9) 1 p.m. broadcast of the Ohio State-Michigan State game, the Phoenix women will receive mention during the halftime report of commentator Ann Schatz, who calls UW-Green Bay one of the surprises of this season.
