UW-Green Bay basketball coach Matt Bollant isn’t taking the bait. Reporters are trying to get him to talk about the fact the Badgers hired Stanford assistant Bobbie Kelsey to replace Lisa Stone last April, even though many regarded Bollant as a top candidate. (The Badgers have never hired a male to coach their women’s basketball team.) Bollant tells the Green Bay Press-Gazette it’s still a big game. Adds senior center Julie Wojta, “I don’t think anybody on our team was recruited by them. To be able to come in and be as successful as we are in this Green Bay program, we take a lot of pride in that.” Read more.
