Prof. Emeritus Michael Kraft was quoted prominently on the front page of the Thursday (Nov. 29) Green Bay Press-Gazette, offering his take on Gov. Scott Walker’s bid to do away with same-day voter registration. The suggestion is widely viewed as partisan, Kraft said. “There is a solution, if the governor says poll workers are burdened — find areas with high levels of same-day registration and hire more poll workers,” Kraft told reporter Maria Amante. “The governor really needs to make a stronger case than he’s made, that there is something wrong that needs to be fixed.” Full story.
