The UW-Green Bay Research Council is pleased to announce that J. Vincent Lowery, assistant professor of Humanistic Studies, has been selected to receive a 2011-12 Research Scholar Award. The award carries a three-credit course reassignment to pursue a scholarly project during the fall 2011 semester.  Lowery’s project involving Southern history is titled “The Port City Prophet: Hugh MacRae and the new South Creeds,” and is expected to result in a critical biography that will appeal to a broad audience when published.
