Faculty often trade off between spending time on teaching and on research activities. In this episode, UW-Green Bay Prof. Regan Gurung (Psychology, Human Development) is interviewed by the Faculty Development Center at the State University of New York at Lake Oswego to explore how engaging in research on teaching and learning can help us become more productive as scholars and as educators while also improving student learning outcomes. Gurung is UW-Green Bay’s Ben J. and Joyce Rosenberg Professor of Human Development and Psychology; President-Elect of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology; co-editor of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Psychology; co-chair of the American Psychological Association Introductory Psychology Initiative and the Director of the Hub for Intro Psych and Pedagogical Research.
