McCarthy Way? Furlong talks street signs with Post-Crescent

The debate over whether to name a local street after Green Bay Packers Coach Mike McCarthy has been simmering since the team won Super Bowl XLV in February, and a recent story from The Post-Crescent of Appleton took a broader look at the practice nationwide. The newspaper’s Ben Jones talked to our own Scott Furlong, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, who said renaming streets is a “feel-good thing” that can generate press for local politicians.
