Faculty note: Senzaki

A paper by Sawa Senzaki, assistant professor of Human Development and Psychology, was recently featured on the “Psychology Today” homepage. The paper “Holistic vs. analytic expressions in children’s artworks: Investigating cross-cultural differences and similarities in drawings and collages between Canadian and Japanese school-age children” was published in the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology. Senzaki’s research discusses why artworks are important cultural products that reveal diverse ways of thinking across cultures, and how these perspectives are developed in childhood.
