Faculty note: Senzaki
A paper by Sawa Senzaki, assistant professor of Human Development and Psychology, was recently featured on the “Psychology Today” homepage. The paper “Holistic vs. analytic expressions in children’s artworks: Investigating cross-cultural differences and similarities in drawings and collages between Canadian and Japanese school-age children” was published in the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology. Senzaki’s research discusses why artworks are important cultural products that reveal diverse ways of thinking across cultures, and how these perspectives are developed in childhood. See the “Psychology Today” placement.
