Brian Sutton, an emeritus associate professor of English at UW-Green Bay, has had four short stories either published or accepted for publication by literary journals in a span of just over three weeks. On September 1, his short story “The Woman with the Dog” was published in Oyster River Pages; on September 6, his short story “Cause and Effect” was accepted for publication (probably sometime this coming winter) in Flash Fiction Magazine; on September 15, his short story “The Stranger Inside” was accepted for publication (probably in February 2023) in Woven Tale Press; and his short story “Crossing the Line” is scheduled for publication on September 22 by MoonPark Review.
Since retiring in 2017, Sutton has had eight short stories published or accepted for future publication in literary journals. Two of his plays have also been staged during that time. One of these was an “encore” presentation of a musical originally staged before Sutton’s retirement; the other was a production of a new play he has written since retiring.
