Dale on Ribble: Incumbency an advantage in fundraising

UW-Green Bay’s Tim Dale, assistant professor in Democracy and Justice Studies, offered his take on U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble’s early fundraising efforts for a story in Monday’s (Aug. 29) Green Bay Press-Gazette. More than a year ahead of the November 2012 election, Ribble, R-Lawrence, is on pace to surpass fundraising totals from his previous race against former Rep. Steve Kagen. Ribble’s incumbency is a definite advantage this time around, Dale said, because of the name recognition and access to resources that come with being a sitting U.S. congressman. Read more.
