Warner gets ‘Women to Know’ mention

Lora Warner, associate professor of Public and Environmental Affairs, recently was named one of YOU Magazine’s “20 Women to Know” for 2014. The magazine writeup for Warner highlights her role in framing issues and encouraging civic involvement through the University’s Center for Public Affairs and research for the Brown County LIFE Study. Warner says an active community is a strong community: “If we all ‘do something,’ our collective quality of life will grow.” (Warner tells the Log she knows well at least two others on the “Know” list: Toni Loch of the Howe Community Resource Center and Tanessa Klug of Cerebral Palsy Inc. worked with Warner’s Strategic Philanthropy class last spring and received $5,000 awards for their organizations.)
