Aldrete’s linothorax featured in ‘The New Yorker’

UW-Green Bay Prof. Greg Aldrete’s groundbreaking linothorax research is featured in an article from The New Yorker, published online today (Friday, June 27). Titled “How to Make Your Own Greek Armor,” the piece traces the history of Aldrete’s research from the curiosity of student Scott Bartell to the eventual reconstruction and testing of the mysterious linen armor. It explains how Aldrete, wife Alicia Aldrete, Bartell and other students created and tested the armor, which is very strong yet very cool and lightweight.
