Faculty note: Prof. Morgan has new publication
UW-Green Bay Associate Prof. Eric J. Morgan (Democracy and Justice Studies and History) has a chapter featured in Four Dead in Ohio: The Global Legacy of Youth Activism and State Repression, edited by Johanna A. Solomon and recently published by Emerald Insight. Morgan’s chapter, “To Thread the Conscience: Michigan State University and the Anti-Apartheid Movement,” examines the campaigns of students and educators at MSU who participated in the contentious debate over divestment, whether to engage with the South African government and apartheid through dialogue and communication or to disengage completely from the country through withdrawal of the university’s financial investments. Four Dead in Ohio is the 45th volume in the Research in Social Movements, Conflicts, and Change series.
