You magazine ‘covers’ Kate Green

Proud UW-Green Bay graduate and Weidner Center Executive Director Kate Green is the focus of the cover and lead article of this month’s You magazine published by Press-Gazette Media. The piece opens with a cute story about how she got her foot in the door at the Weidner 20 years ago as a valet, mainly because she could drive a stick. She’s proud of the Weidner Center’s recent resurgence and optimistic for the future. “People are looking for experiences in life. Instead of just buying their kids toys, they are looking for things to do with their children or grandchildren that will create a memory,” Green says. “Going to the NEW Zoo, coming to the Weidner, it seems those things have more value now than ever.” Good story, with some nice history and perspective on both Green and the venue.
